Capturing and editing your video

Group 2

1. Plug the camera into the laptop using a firewire cable
2. Open Final Cut
3. Click file> log and capture (fig 1)
4. Place your clips on the time line on top of each other on separate video layers (fig 2)
5. Line up your clips so that they are all synchronised (the music starts and ends at exactly the same time time)
6. use the < and > keys to adjust each clip one frame at a time for fine adjustments
7. Start cutting parts of your video layers you don't want out using the blade tool without moving any of the layers, moving layers will ruin the sync (fig 3 &4)

Groups to combine and add the slow motion footage onto one laptop using a memory stick,

1. Import footage
2. Add footage to timeline
3. sync footage
4. cut footage to suit
